About the Areca Golden Butterly Palm

The Areca palm is more than just her gorgeous looks. She was recently crowned the most air purifying plant by NASA. Out of all the plants NASA tested - she was the most successful at breaking down the most harmful organic compounds (VOCs) found in modern homes. All we can say is that there is no better way to boost a plant paradise than with this purifying princess! She comes paired with our gorgeous designer curved black and gold chrome planter, and is inspired by 1940's Art Deco.

The Areca palm originates from the world's second largest island; Madagascar, and has now been neutralised to Southern America and Florida. It is a clustering palm, which means that it has a series of trunks, rather than an individual trunk.

    To make the most of her air purifying powers, you need to regularly wipe her leaves down with a damp cloth.

    This plant enjoys a moist environment and needs regular misting to keep her leaves in prime condition.
